With vBulletin 3.0 you won't need to hack anything for the welcome panel it can all be done in the templates and there is one over at vbt.com

I got a semi working version.. the only prob is that it doesn't show a no avatar selected.

it works but there is a prob. if its hosted off site it won't show.. and if you don't have an avatar selected there is no image.. I guess there has to be a conditional re-done

I found a other version of the Welcome Panel here. The guy who made the hack requests some money for it. Decide for yourself if it is worth it. I paid for it and it works very well.

in vbulletintemplates tungesten re-release the welcome panel.

I have added it plus many of the other features that where missing in the new version
