Hi,

Is there or does anyone know of a hack to send a thread by PM instead of E-Mail?

Some users disable E-Mail and you can only send them a PM.
While this isn't a problem for Admins, it is a problem for end users.
Some of them only know their friends PM, not E-Mail.

It would also help Admins where the E-Mail bounces back from the users ISP.
Then you can still get them in the case of active users.
