Hi
Any help would be appreciated. For the record we are currently running VB 2.2.8. Recently we setup a new forum area dedicated to posting News Items. Normal users can view posts but can't pass comment - the forum is purely a News Feed area. We set up a new user group which is basically News editors, ie. those who can post/edit. All works fine, however, for some reason when selecting 'View New Posts' the resultant list specifically excludes the News Forum posts. Hope this makes sense! Cheers David |

I'm not sure how to help you there sorry, but just a note, instead of making a usergroup, Why not just edit the permissions for that certain forum? You can do this in the admin panel, and can select a type of user aka registered, moderator, admin, and decide what they can and cant do in that forum

Hi
Thanks for your reply. Unfortuantely your suggestion wasn't possible - basically only a select number of moderators can post in this Forum, therefore, we had to make a new usergroup which catered for these users only. Thanks David |
