ok, I got the remove post redirect hack. I'm wondering how to make it go to the category instead of the post... .sorry to compare it to ezboard here, but when you submit a post it goes back to the post listings instead of the thread.

actually that won't work cause my code is different, sorry to be all over the place, but since I have the remove redirect I need something different, so can I get help?

try vBulletin 3, it does this out of the box

nope, vb3 doesn't do it actually, they say its a hack.
