Default changing servers

is there an easy way to inport data from vbulletin 2.3.2 from one server to a vbulletin 2.3.2 that is on a different server

any help will be appriciated

You could ask your new server to do this for you.

Or you could go into cpanel (if you have it) and use the back up options on mysql data bases.

Then import it to new. It is much more reliable then trying to dl it as a .sql file.

Thanks for the fast reply, I did do a backup of the old VBulletin, but I dont understand how to import it into the new vbulletin

can you give me some help in this area???

Well if you just dl from vb back up as a .sql file you have to run it in mysql.

But if you still have access to old one you should use your cpanel (if you have cpanel)

Find Download/Upload backup file

Chose your data base, and download it. Then on the new host upload it in same area.

If you have a small data base you should be ok with a mysql back up.

There is a detailed thread in vbulletin.com for changing servers and I guess it will help you.
