Default RPG Guild hacks?

I am interested in purchasing Vbulletin, but before I do I was curious if there are any hacks/add ons for Vbulletin that do the following.

- Customizable user profile to include information such as Species, Profession, etc. etc...

Then based on this information, a member list can be created that will only include user groups that I specificy, such as Guild members and Guild officers(I would obviously create these groups within vbulletin) and then display not only the normal profile information but the customized profile fields that I added.

- fully customizable calendar that I can post raid events and guild activites on

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks!

Yes, can be done with no hacking, or minimal hacking. It is easily done in vB3 actually with the ability to display custom profile fields in the memberlist.

Is it something relativly easy? Is there an article out there somewhere that could walk me through it if I do buy the software?

No actual article out there, but it's not too hard to learn on your own.

Hi!

I just purchased vBulletin 3.5.4 (some days ago) and I am currently working on how to set up my guild web environment. We used phpBB 2 before and hacked the calendar tool there so we were able to plan raids.

You can easily do that by setting up custom fields in the user profiles. This is a standard vB functionality. For example, I set up some fields named "Ingame Charname", "Ingame Twink Name" and "played class" (followed by a list of checkboxes named "druid", "mage", etc.

So this is easily done and should be no problem.

I set up a user group called "guild members". I'm no haxxor myself but I've got exactly the same problem u describe. I think it should be done by coding a vB Template similar to the vB Members List but customized in a way so it only shows members who are in the "guild member" usergroup and display the custom fields such as "ingame charname" and "class", etc.

That's my biggest problem right now - I've searched via google and some hack-boards and afaik there are several approaches to solve those issues:

1. phpraid plans to integrate tightly into vBulletin. See https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119017 but I've got no idea if this is going to be "what we really need"

2. I'm looking for a hack to get the following:
- users should be able to click on a "join meeting" link in the vB calender, this is already available as a hack: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=93782
- "Deadlines", e.g. 10 hours before raid starts users are no longer able to sign up for a meeting. I haven't found any hack for this issue.
- the custom profiles such as "ingame charname" and "class" should be into the vB calendar so users are able to sign up with a distinct char, they want to join the raid with (e.g. "this raid I wanna play with my twink xy") Here I am pretty much sure there will be no hack and I'm kind of deperate Any help here would be much appreciated!

3. Last but not least it would be nice to have a raid-lineup generated as a forum thread. there are already hacks that generate a forum link for every calendar meeting - what we need is a tool that generates a forum posting (posted by somebody in the "officers / moderators usergroup") after the "join meeting" deadline has closed. It should list the attendees in a class / player order. e.g.

Shamans: name1, name2, name3
Priests: name4, name5

etc.

Nice to have: The possibility to sign up with "100%" or just "50%" if you are not sure if you will be available for that raid.

What the vB Calender already has got is a nice rights management. U can specify user groups (e.g. "guild members") beeing the only ones to see the calendar, another user group (e.g. "guild officers") could be the only one able to set up meetings (=raids), etc.
