MySQL too many connections error???
I own www.jeepforum.com and have about 13,000 members. I have been getting this error lately.
> Warning: Too many connections in > /home/jfly1/forum/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40 > > Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Too many connections > in /home/jfly1/forum/admin/db_mysql.php on line 40 What does this mean? There is an option to limit connections in VBB, what is a good connection number. Also the option under that says VBB can determine the connections and fix itself. What should I set that to. Or should I fix something with my server? Thank you! |

The reason you get the error is because of the server not vBulletin. The server has to many connections to it and is refusing any more. So in a way vbulletin doesn't need to limit it because your server already does. There is a way to limit load though. If I'm way off base someone will correct me but I think this is at least something.
