I'm really sorry if this hack already exists but really after more than half and hour going through different hacks didn't quite find what I was looking for.

At this time I don't have mail confirmation turned on for new registrations however what I want to do is to send automated "Welcome" messages to our new members and then send them a second email 3-5 days after they registered as a reminder that they joined the community, welcoming them again and making them feel like home... I could do it manually I guess but it would be a lot of work, an automated script would work the best for me.
