Simple unregistered_welcome hack
We are developing a new support site and I have a question about the message that is shown to unregistered surfers. First take a look:
http://www.nexusportal.net/index.php You will see the panel on the left with Register for free! That is contained within the forumhome_unregmessage template. What we want is for the member info below it not to show to unregistered users. At the moment, I just put $unregwelcomemessage variable above the Member Info tables. Also, the unregistered meesage needs to be hidden from members. How do I do this? Does this require hacking of the code and if so what and where? You can also login with user: Test and pass: vborg Thanks for your help but please remember the site is not finished. It's looking great but will be so nice when it's finished. |

Look for various conditional templates hacks; they'll let you do what you want without hacking (beyond installing the conditional template hack itself).

ilburt, it looks like Logicians Adanced Templates hack will do the job. I just need to know the variables for registered users and unregistered users. Do you know what they are?
