i run a parenting website and i just did my 1st hack finally of course someone had to walk me through it .

any good hacks that you would suggest?

i just did the quick reply and it went wacko on me , where it says submit it says like jibberish letters that doesnt make sense you can look here http://www.parentspalace.com/forum/s...=&threadid=289

see how it says the weird ass letters? if anyone knows how to change it to submit and whatever else its suposed to say it would be great .

also i am gonna try and do the mood hack now , but do any ofyou know how to add smilies? when i tried to it comes up like a box smilie it doesnt show just a small box

Quick reply, Welcome Panel, Micro Stats, and a few others in the left column of the main page are the most popular. I'd suggest to go through the hack database, and see what interests you. Good luck

micro stats is a simple to install hack that gives you info on your server for your site. most of us use it to watch server load along with % of MySQL vs PHP, page load time and the amount of queries a page runs to generate the info.

If you look in the footer of this site you will see something like "Page generated in 0.05149400 seconds (63.30% PHP - 36.70% MySQL) with 25 queries" that is micro stats that generates that info. It takes all of about 5 minutes to install.

Also FireFly has some neat gadgits including vbhacker.. do a search on it... you upload the files.. chmod the files required and it installs it all for you.

I'd reccomend the same, they seem to be the most popular and useful.
