Why do Import scripts have to be so ...

I have a bunch of forums that want to join my forum, but i cant import an old forum thats located on a different server into mine... and i cant import them into a specific forum and not my whole board. Is this really true or am i doing something wrong. Im importing UBB, an EZBOARD and a IB...

If there are import scripts for the conversion of those boards into vBulletin, and there is evidence from others that they work, then the obvious conclusion is that you are incorrectly using the scripts. Complaining to us wont get you much progress, but if you ask in a polite and understanding manner for help you could very well recieve some.

What are you converting from again? You listed 3 kinds of forums: ezboard, IkonBoard, and UBB. You can't import your entire board (and all the database info) into a forum, though If I am thinking along the same lines of you, I'm pretty sure you want to import all the threads of one of those boards into just one of the forums on your vBulletin?

yah. There forums have several forums of there own. I created a forum on my forumhome for them to use. Basically i want to get each of there forums threads into my forum of the same name.

For example like an EZ board:

Main Index > General > ALL the Topics here

Then converted INTO this on my forum

VB Forum Home > Hosted > Max Damage > General > All topics here

And for all his other forums as well. Importing all of them and then mass moving is a pain in the butt. There has to be an easier way.

There's an official UBB forum importer. Just use that. I think you can import into a forum only. I've used it.

There's an unofficial IB importer. Not sure how good it is.

For ezboards, Jelsoft staff have to do it for you. They are quite good, and they can import threads into a specific forum with no problems (but not members). I've used this too.

Also, I've edited the title of your thread. Import scripts do not have sexual preferences.

Still you guys.. you guys are being just a tad anal about the title regardless.

Ok, enough about the title, heh. You cant Import Members from a EZboard? Oh man.. I was hoping you could maybe duplicate them somehow....the UBB one i think i am understanding better.. but then i still gotta do the IB and the EZboard hopefully. Otherwise they will just have to start over.
