Can VB w/hacks work like a portal i.e. xoops, phpnuke?
I'm still trying to figure out what I want for a website and portals seem like the ticket. VB looks like it can meet other needs, but can it be modified to add blocks or other modules so it would act as a portal and be centrally controlled?

There are several portal's out in the forums such as vbhome_lite, vbindex but none of these have modules.
There's a module portal designed for vbulletin over at www.phpportals.com and also there are postnuke intigrations released around the place Regards - miSt |

excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "module portal?" What is the difference between a module portal like PHP Portal and vbHome_lite?

Also you can add modules with your own dynamic content in things such as postnuke
