Is true that in vBulletin the DB is smaller that in PHPBB2?
I mean, with the same users and post, the DB occupy less space in vB that in PHPBB2 despite that both are php boards? If that is true, how much more? Thanks |

hmm, i don't use phpbb2 so i can't compare the db-sizes.
if someone converts his phpbb to vb we'd know ![]() but fact is, vb uses the db better, ie is better optimized and therefore faster compared to a phpbb2 i think the db-space would be nearly equal, because it strongly depends on the posts, and whats else in it ![]() |

If you include everything, its probably bigger as vB has all the templates in the DB which phpBB doesn't, however you do gain the extra file space so it probablt evens out.
