"You are out of memory"
Ok this is SOOO frustrating. When I try to copy/paste from a notepad file into a php file or whatever it says...
"not enough memory please shut down a program to make it availible". SO I shut down EVERYTHING. I ran scan disk, defragged my computer, restarted my computer, deleted all sorts of stuff. So then I asked around. I've heard this is a known bug in win 98 ? IS this true? HELP |

I have never heard of it. What are your hardware specs?
Also try to copy to and from word pad to see if that works better. |

I'm running a PIII 550mhz, with about 2 gigs open hard drive space. 256 Megs of Ram and a Voodoo III 16mb video card. Not very up to date system but to copy words to notepad requires none of this big stuff. This just started happening in the last week too - so weird!?

Notepad isn't designed to work with large files or large amounts of text.

It's a limitation of Notepad itself - it has a limit of up to 40kb I think - go and use Wordpad, or a proper HTML editor.

I hate notepad for this, if only it could handle sizes of maybe 1-2MB, it would be more useful
