Only IF you made a database backup ... did you do that?

That's what you need ... you can't get back the posts. Your bad on this issue. This backup will overwrite all other recent posts.
You might have to make up an explanation to your guest but at least you'll have your threads back. Regards... |

If the dump was done with a "vbulletin.sql" file and restored with a "INSERT" statement ... this will overwrite everything, correct?

The only way he will lose threads/posts/members is if he drops the table. The INSERT will only add data or overwrite it with whats probably already there unless its been edited.
So the simple solution is to remove the DROP TABLE and CREATE TABLE SQL statements should they exisit. |

Or you could dump/backup the current database then use a program to check the difference between the two, then run the combined .sql, no?
also, how the heck did you mass delete, it asks twice "Are you sure." |
