Is there any way I can keep everything the way it is, without re-installing and starting over with all the hacks we have installed???

You need to do a compleate DB backup which you need to restore on your new server and just transfer the files across

You can ftp all your vB files but that won't work for the database. The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. Please see the instructions here:
