Request: Calendar Events on Main Page (like B-Days)

Hello,

This is a great idea for a hack, and I'm surprised no one has thought of, or coded it yet.

I would like to be able to display public calendar events on the index, similar to how birthdays are on the index when there's a birthday. So, the box is only there when there's an event, and it lists the event that you can click on, then be taken to the even summary.

I tried coding it myself using the birthday code as an example, but I started getting really confused and I couldn't figure it out. It doesn't sound like it'd be too hard to do, but who knows.

If anyone is interested in coding, I'd definatly be interested it using it!

Really Weird.. aranoid:

I can bet this hack existed but I cant find it now either. I'm sure because I was about to code it, then find that it was already released, but now I couldnt find it either in hack db or full releases section.. "Incoming, event, calendar" keywords didnt find it, how come the hack be released without these keywords? lol

Full Releases section is really getting out of control with thousands of hack threads. I'm afraid I wont be able to find my own hacks in the near future..

I have a very long to-do list and lots of pending hacks in that list and one day I'll code them all lol.. So the question is not whether I'll code it or not, but when will I code it and what's its priority.

I would say if anybody likes to code the hack, please be my guest and save me from coding an item in my to-do list. If nobody volunteers, I'll see what I can do in my busy schedule..

I did this back awhile ago and will look for it on my computer...when I find it I will post it....
