Dont know if this is possible but...
I was wondering if it could be possible to have X forums with the same databese.
Suppose we have 3 forums: 1- News 2- Movies 3- Music Could it be possible a user that is registered in the news board access the movies and music boards? Like the 3 forums use the same mysql database. VM |

Well... i've seen this site http://www.ospina.com/ (its is english and espanish) and i would like to do something similar to this.
Lets say... the english users go to one board and the spanish goes to other board. I've searched vb.com and i see there's some problems with the license. Looks like i have to think another way.. to separate english users from spanish users. My board has 12 forums in english... if i had another 12 in spanish.. the mainboard will be very.. ugly.. |

You dont need to install 2 different vb (=2 licences) or 2 different database. If you can hack your vb, you can apply a simple trick:
Create 2 different usergroups in your board one for English users and one for Spanish. For each usergroup configure forum permissions so that they can only see forums in that language they are in. Put new users into English group first and create a simple link in header which will change the usergroup of English User's to Spanish Group. If they are in Spanish Group, the link should change their group back to English. Now they will only see the forums in their own language unless they click that link and change their language (in fact their usergroup in background). Easy isn't it? |

BTW. Ospina.com is using another trick which is not good enough for your request: They have 2 different styles one English and one Spanish and when you choose the language, they are only changing the style set you are using. So the language of the board changes but all forums (regardless of their language) are still displayed in both styles..
