The issue is MySQL 8 as VB3 was not written for it.
At the very least you wil have to fix install/mysql-schema.php in order for MySQL 8 to function with VB 3.

Just like Hostboard stated. It's a compatibility issue with the version of your msql..

Salve, sono un utente normale e ho un forum sia con vb4 e uno con vb5 , concordo con molte persone, VB5 non ha tutto quei plugin o style , ma a me piace moltissimo, assieme ad un amico abbiamo creato un bel forum con VB5 abbiamo cambiato o personalizzato alcune , cose, devo dire che all´inizio é stato un pochino difficile, ma una volta che ci hai fatto la mano, va alla grande, una cosa abbiamo notato, il VB5 é molto piu sensibile diciamo cosi hai cambiamenti che si fanno, ma forse é dovuto alla nostra poca esperienza, attualmente abbiamo la versione vb5.61 , é offline perche abbiamo il vecchio VB4 che cammina con la licenza, appena noteremo dei problemi con il VB4 passeremo al 5, intanto speriamo che qualche programmatore metta qualche bel style in rete , perche c´e ne sono veramente pochi ,
