I am sure this may be quite an easy hack, I am just hoping someone can do it.

I basically need to close the whole board to anyone who isn't registered, and to display a message about the board and they would then be required to register.

Obviously you would need a log in bit as well.

Its just like the unregistered message only in the board closed style.

Can anyone do this please?

No hack my friend, just edit the Usergroup Permissions for the Ungregistered group and set them all to No.

but, if you do that, then some people would get pissed and won't sign up just to see the board.
