Weird Issue
I have custom user groups, which users choose on registration.
However, it automatically defaults to "Junior Member" until I update user titles and ranks. Obviously I'm not going to be online all the time to be able to do that. Is there anything I can do where it will automatically update their usergroup once registered? It will update fine after I update user titles and ranks |

Hi,
Sorry, I didn't explain myself that well. I already have a mod installed that lets them choose usergroup on registration (vietdjclub - choose usergroup on registration) For some reason, they will choose the usergroup, but it says they are a junior member until I run the "update counters". I have e-mail validation turned off and the mod DOES put them straight into the usergroup they have chosen. I have checked the usertitle and it has the usertitle for that correct usergroup, so I'm not sure where it's getting the "Junior Member" from |

I could've swore this was a part of the Daily Cleanup in the Scheduled Task Manager, but I could be wrong. If this is not the case, you will need someone who can created a Scheduled Task to regularly update your usertitles.
Junior Member may also appear depending on the "User Ranks" system, people will default as juniors if they have not exceeded certain post levels. Review in the AdminCP and see if this is the cause. |
