HI can anyone shed any light on this problem?

i am trying to upgrade bulletin from 5.1.7 Alpha to 5.1.7 but get the following error when i try and run the update script.

The server returned no response. This is probably due to a timeout setting. Please contact vBulletin Support for assistance

any ideas?

i would be very grateful for any help offered.

I would suggest upgrading to 5.1.8 instead of 5.1.7. But, that is not the cause of the problem. Did you make sure to fill out your two config.php files? And did you look in the error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host) to see if there was a timeout error?
