Admin not getting permissions
Hey all
I set up the board (http://www.deadhook.com/) and then set another user to the Administrator level. I think I did everything correctly, however, she can't access the Admin Control Panel or access the Admin forum I set up. I'd be more than happy to supply any other needed info to assist getting to the bottom of this, Thanks everyone. |

Did you set this other user to have the Primary usergroup to be Administrator - the same usergroup your administrator is in? Also, once you do that, go to Usergroup > Administrator Permissions and set up the permissions you wish the user to have in the admincp.

BWalter74, I had the same issue with my administrators. I tried following Lynne's directions above but got confused because I thought she was saying to go into the Administrators usergroup and change the permissions there, which doesn't provide the solution you are (and I was) looking for. However, you can easily fix it. Once in your Admin CP, go to Usergroups (with an "s" on the end) on the left navigation panel, and select the last option under that category, Administrator Permissions. The page will load with a list of members who are in the Administrators usergroup. Find the username of the administrator in question, and click the corresponding "Edit Permissions" link on the right side of the screen. From there, you can select the Admin CP options you want her to see.
Hope that helps you! |
