Doing away with Animated Avatars...
Hey guys, quick question for those vbulletin gurus out there.
I'd like to disallow animated avatars (animated gifs) on my forums. What would the easiest way to go about this be? I figure changing a setting or something to disallow the uploads of gifs (force either .jpg's or .png's on them) would provide me with the end result required. What do you guys and gals think? Thanks. Jim |

No Problem, Done. What now? :-)

Thanks!
Well, you can only allow .jpg avatars if you want. To do that, open member.php and replace this: Code:
if ($imginfo[2]!=1 and $imginfo[2]!=2) { Code:
if ($imginfo[2]!=2) { |

God Bless your heart. You're a scholar and a gentleman.
Ahhh, much better. Non-animated avatars, 3KB in size or less. I'm a happy camper now, thanks again! |
