Twitter Problem
I'm trying to set up a feed to my forums Twitter account, so that it tweets a new thread, there were a couple of mods on here that did work, but no longer do, and the same goes for Facebook.
My natural thought was RSS feed, however Hootsuite want $8.99 a month after 30 days, and twitterfeed says it cannot parse the RSS link I'm giving it. So in the words of the burglar in the glue factory I'm stuck !! Anyone got anything that works ! |

For my company we added code for 'twitter cards' it really is just a modified version of 'Open Graph'. Since there is no direct RSS feed. All those companies do is translate your RSS feed to twitter cards. When I get a chance I will do a little surfing to see if there is an easier solution, that you can employ. I have not seen a twitter card 'mod' for vbulletin. Although facebook has not had any announcement, I am pretty sure they plan to drop RSS in the future too. This was a huge souce of indirect spam for twitter.
--------------- Added 21 Nov 2013 at 23:53 --------------- There are some free 'twitter card libraries' on github if you are planning to roll your own. This is what I looked at before I wrote my own code. |
