Uploading files and physically works, via an url it does not
Using 4.2.2
So, I have used the setting where I can, physically, save the files to a directory (somewhere above public_html). This works just marvelously. However, when I want to choose an url to save a picture, vB says to me it has failed to create a temporary file. The same goes for Avatars. However in this case I go to "User Picture Storage Type" to change it to "filesystem" (as in my attachments), I can't seem to toggle that. I've tried finding it out (even trying to see if I could toggle this in the DB for vB), but to no avail. So, effectively - I have one problem (saving an image physically via an url), in 2 sections of the forum. Could anyone perhaps assist me? |

When you go to your admincp/attachments/attachment storage type
What path are you using when storing them in filesystem |

Sorry for my late answer (busy):
Attachments are currently being stored in the filesystem at /home/id787280/domains/attach2 And this works. Pub is at the same level as attach2 |

and the attach2 folder permissions are 777

The server does not support 777 chmod's, I have to make do with 755. What I have been told the server is configured to make 755 work as 755.
Fixed. Safemode enabled and made temp in /attach1 (next to attach2) |
