I don't know if a hack like this exists (I tried searching for it), but I would find it useful if I could get an active AJAX-styled pop-up when I receive a personal message. Sometimes I'm talking in my shoutbox and don't refresh the screen for a while, so I could have a PM waiting but be unaware of it.

If such a plugin exists, please let me know...otherwise, please accept this as a free idea
