Default [Issue] Cannot install forums install/install.php ... PLEASE HELP

I've tried literally everything I know in the book. I know it's not my end.. because I've successfully set up and taken down vBulletin sites in the past.

This is, however, my first time working through a VPS - so perhaps that may be an issue. On top of that, my hoster is: Burst.net and my domain holder is: GoDaddy.com

I've already set up the proper domain forwarding for: www.arc-gaming.com

However, it seems I'm unable to access to install/install.php

I've created my MYSQL Database setup, have the proper DB name and User/Pass set through .. And I'm pretty sure the culprit is the localhost:3306.

-
I've already edited the config.php properly, already dragged them to the correct folder (www.arc-gaming.com/forum) and tried to go to: www.arc-gaming.com/forum/install/install.php - but to no avail. Is there anyone out there able to remedy my issue?

I'm pulling my hair out from this and I've already reformatted the VPS system twice so far..

look at the server error logs and find out the specifics of the 500 status code. Paste the results here.

However, any fresh VPS installation that has php, apache, and mysql (LAMP) installed should run vbulletin just fine.

Most FTP programs do this automatically (or have a setting to do this automatically) but are you sure all your files were uploaded using the correct transfer type: All text files in ASCII mode and all non-text (image) files in Binary mode? Seems like I ran into this issue once, long ago, and it was because my FTP wasn't automatically uploading in the correct modes.

Code:
Removed.
I tried fixing it some by adding in the favicon.ico, 404.shtml and 505.shtml files into public_html. Reading off some similar-problems, I chmod 755 everything (files and folders included) for public_html.

I used FileZilla, which I heard they do this automatically - Although I could be wrong.

It has an auto setting in the Transfer menu. It should be set to Auto by default, but always good to double check. Some sources I've read even suggest to avoid auto and do each transfer type manually.

this is a cpanel issue. looks like a root user copied the files to your directory. This is just a security flag. have the host CHOWN the files back to your account name and you should be fine.
