upgrade from 2.x to 3.0 procedure?

i have a quick question for the jupiter users:
can you tell me in few words what it will be like the upgrade from 2.x to 3.0?

i ask this question because i'm in the process of designing a new style interface for vB. everything will be changed (templates look and some minor hacks to forumhome, forumdisplay, showthread and private messages), so i wonder if the custom templates from 2.x will be obsolete in 3.0.

if i understood corectly, the number of templates will increase dramatically in v3.0. will you keep the actual ones (2.x), or redesign them also?

Virtually every template in vB 3.0 is weither new or rwritten. While your old styles should still function, you won't be able to get the benefits of all the new features unless you revert your templates.

As for me, I'm not doing any more work on my existing forums until 3.0 comes out.
