Human friendly URLs?
I am running vB 3.8.7 and just uninstalled vbSEO from my forum.
One of the nice things about SEO was the friendly link formatting when you posted a link in a message.... For example... with SEO, instead of the URL being displayed automatically in the message... it would show the formatted webpage title or news article title. Since I removed SEO, when I copy and paste a URL from the "insert link" option it only posts the full URL (unless, of course, I manually edit it to what I want it to show). Is there a plug-in on this site, or an edit somewhere, that will post a URL friendly structure similar to that of the SEO plugin? Thanks in advance. |

Any ideas? I would really like to have my URLs show like that.

There are some SEO modifications on this site, or at least, there were the last time I searched for them. That's a function of an SEO modification, and you'd need one to accomplish that. It's also built in to vB4. There should also be some online tutorials you can look up that would simulate that functionality in some ways. Google search terms like "seo urls vb" and look below any vbSEO or vBulletin 4 results that would likely show at the top.
