Well I have XP and a tower with the HP CD-RW/CD-ROM(Drive E:\) on the very top and the Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-114(Drive F:\) below..

Ok when I put a DVD into the DVD player it does't work, but when I put a CDROM is works and reads it.. I have used WMP to try to play it and PowerDVD, but it still doesn't work!! I am getting really frusterated with this and I have no refrences to see if anyone has the same problem..

Please help me!

Err.. well I can say be sure that the DVD drive works without the E drive in.

try reinstalling the software...plus you can always see if the correct driver is still in there by right-clicking on My Computer and choose Manage...once there, click on Device Manager and extand the tree that says DVD/CD-ROM Drives and see if there's an expermation mark (!) on the DVD-ROM drive. if there is, right-click on it and choose Properties to see what's wrong. most likey you need to reinstall or update the driver. hope this bit of info helps out some
