I accidentally changed my primary user group as Admin. I can access the log in panel but get a message 'Thank you for logging in and redirects me back to the log in screen. I made sure my user id was set in the config.php. Can someone please help?

Do you mean that you changed it FROM admin to something else?, you'll need to either go in to your database and change your usergroup id there or upload the tools you got when purchasing vbulletin and get in that way.

I used the tool.php and I still can't log in. Any other suggestions would be great.

Is that the sole administrator account?

If not promote one of the others to SuperAdmin through the config.php and get them to promote you back.
