Globally change URL
I installed vbulletin on a local server of mine, the url was localhost/vbulletin
The problem I have is, I moved my installation to a local server, and changed the URL in the vbulletin options accordingly. But, the problem is that all my post icons, thread icons, theme images, smilies, etc are still linked to localhost/vbulletin instead of the new URL I set. I only restored the database backup through phpmyadmin when I moved, and used a new install of vbulletin. Is there a way to globally change every instance of the old URL to the new one? |

I think all the image paths are relative to the <base> tag. And it looks like if you have Forum URL set under "Site Name / URL / Contact Details", and you have "Always use Forum URL as Base Path" set to Yes, then the base tag should be the same as what you have set as "Forum URL".
Edit: ..oops - that all applies only to vb4. |

I don't see that option in the Site Name / URL / Contact Details options. COuld it be located somewhere else or could I set it manually?

My fault - I was looking at a vb4 site. It looks like in vb3 the image paths are set as style vars in the Style Manager.

So is there a way to change all of them(post icons, image paths, etc) at one time? I would have to manually set each post icon path and stuff if I do it manually.

To be honest styles aren't my strong area. When I looked on my test site for some reason they had all full paths but were red with messages that said they had been customized. I revereted them and they became relative paths. What do yours look like?
