is there a way where members can post in a section but not see the posts that others have made ?
I am looking at running a competition where members post up there top 3 , but in order that no one can manipulate the results it would be good if they couldn't see what others posted
only the admins of course

I have seen (on Androidforums) where a section was created and ONLY the thread starter could see the thread (along with staff). Called it 'private chat w/ staff' rather like the idea also.

Seems if that is possible then what your asking *might* be as well. If not then doing the same thing would work, just have the users all start their own thread

You can do this in Forum Permissions and edit the usergroups and set it so they cannot see others threads/posts.
