vBSEO?

So I'm looking in to starting up another website, and the biggest pitfall of my last one was not getting enough traffic; and that was even after being featured as the Site of the Month on HostGator.com!
After about a year and a half of struggling, I had to take the site down, because it was too much work, not enjoyable anymore, and the site didn't get nearly enough attention as I would have liked.

This time I'm trying to plan everything out accordingly, and I've come across something called "vBSEO", which essentially is testifying that once installed, it will completely overhaul traffic.

Normally I take one look at this type of thing, and say "bogus", and leave. But for some reason this one has my attention, and I feel hopeful about it. Problem is, they offer no trial or even a money back guarantee or anything even remotely close, and I don't want to spend $150 on something that isn't going to work for me.

So can anybody here give me some reassurance that the product actually works? I don't want to pour my heart and soul into another crazy long project only for it to flop again. (I'm lowering my expectations this time, and also picked a niche that isn't quite as filled, so it should work out better, but still...)

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated!
