The Future of Hacks
In the current stat of vb there and many many hacks, which each time become more and more dynamic and complex. For every new idea 3 more pop up and are made. There are a few ideas for dynamic extreems which I will not state due to it being made, released, and used within a week. As we make more hacks and the script kiddies use them... they ask for me, as do us hackers... eventually the hack that are made will have to be god like compaired to now.... so my question is, "What do you see in the future for hacks?"
As for me..... Go to cybertown.com and look at their 3D java chatroom.

obviously php has its limitations but as long as people require hacks I'm sure that someone will have the expertise to create them.

But there always is a final limit... one that cannot be passed unless new technology is made... and once that has been hit... no more will forums be as dynamic as they should.

To be honest I'm much more concerned about the near future of the hacks. As vB3 is around the corner (not really, but it'll be there eventually), most (I guesstimate we're talking about at least 90% of the) hacks will not work on it, and will need to be totally re-written. That's what I'm truly worried about...

yes, I have thought about that aswell. But that is why I am working on a project thats does not need to be in any vb files only the db which is easy to fix.... but I think many people will stay with 2.2.2 untill many new hacks are made..... I guess i could eadit a few other 500 + hacks here....

I know I'll be converting all my hacks to v3, it will probably take a few days though while I get familar with the new layout of the code. Though Chen has an unfair advantage having access to CVS

im lookin forward to vb3, right now i only work on hacks for my board that i know wont be in vb3 and that shouldnt be so hard to modify. as far as i understood vb3 will become sort of a portal script, or thats atleast what i understood after reading the sitepoint interview.
