I've seen this on other forums and would like to do something similar.
Basically it's a forum within vbulletin where members can create a thread that is private and only the admin can see it. It's meant to act as a "Contact the admin section" or "help section", but other members on the board can not view it. How do I set this up? |

Create a new forum, go to forum manager > forum permissions > deny all for that forum
Then edit permissions for admins and give them all permissions (maybe mods/super mods also). Then edit permisssions for the usergroup and let them Post Threads and Reply to Own Threads, View Thread Content, and View Forum. Set No to just about all other options (especially Can View Others' Threads). Test with test account. |
