looking for solutions to an attchmnt mgr adv. uploader bug..anyone have input?

I hope this is the right spot to post. Thanks for taking the time to read my post too.


Relevant info:

There is a bug in the vbulletin 4 attachment manager advanced uploader that uses flash. When a category is selected, and images uploaded, they all get stored in the Home category instead of the selected category.

This bug has already been reported at http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/...3Aall-tabpanel and is marked as a Major bug but it has not been assigned to any one (more than eight months already). I politely requested that this bug fix request be elevated because this is a very important feature for our community. We have been asking for a couple months and no luck at all.

Could someone...anyone...please advise. We really need assistance on this and are not sure what can be done or what is being done about it. There just seem to be apologies and more bug reports. If there are any solutions known, or information that can help, it would be hugely appreciated. I am a long time vbull customer with multiple licenses, one of which is a 310k member community which is art based and thus image heavy on uploads.

Has anyone solved this bug? I am on the art side, and not the programming side so please forgive. I am searching but have not found much help.

The good news is they assigned a programmer to the bug today after eight months. No clue how long it will take them to fix it but if anyone has input please let me know. It would be hugely appreciated.
