Hopw to run search for users who have certain profile field filled in

How can i run a search for all users who have at least entered some kind of info into a custom profile field i have.

I am sure its something easy but the only thing i could think of was putting $ into the search query but that didnt work

I don't know if there's a way to do that in vb or not. The member list search uses the mysql "LIKE' to compare, but it also escapes the '%' and '_' wildcards so you can't use them.

You could do your own query, like:

SELECT user.userid, user.username, field6
FROM userfield
LEFT JOIN user ON (userfield.userid = user.userid )
WHERE field6 <> ''

(if you have a table prefix defined in your config.php you have to add it to the beginning of the table names for this to work).
