How to change url to title
Looking for a feature where if you post a URL it automatically changes it to the topic of the URL.
Lets say I post www.vbulletin.org, instead of showing the URL it will come as vBulletin Forum and it will be a URL to www.vbulletin.org Thanks for any help --------------- Added [DATE]1295206199[/DATE] at [TIME]1295206199[/TIME] --------------- Anyone? |

There is a mod here to do this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=189658
But be aware it doesn't well with AME (Automatic Media Embedder) if you have that installed. I'm told VBSEO also has this as an option if you happen to own a VBSEO license. |

I have AME installed, what "issues" would I come across? Another forum I know of has both (but not sure what mods he uses) and I don't see any errors.
Any substitutes for AME? |

No, no substitutes for AME.
When I had both installed I'd lose the titles in youtube videos, they'd become URLs instead. If there's a site with both options working correctly they probably have the VBSEO version (would be my guess). I search heavily for this a month back and there were no other options. |

I see what you mean, its not too bad so I guess I can live with that. Instead of saying "Youtube" it just has the link there, you can still see the title.

Hey, I decided to work on this... it was actually a problem with the Title mod- it had nothing to do with AME- the title mod wouldn't work on youtube even without AME installed- it seems youtube puts extra line breaks in its title that the mod didn't like.
I fixed it... I will post instructions in the Title Mod thread. |
