Default cms columns

Hello!

I've a question about the vbulletin 4.x and the organization of the pages... Infact, I know that it's possible to use and manage the grids on the home page to add and show some tabs and columns in the CMS.

But the columns offered by the system are just standard. For example...

3 columns: 25 / 50 / 25
etc.

I have the need to set the three columns in a different way, because in my cms home, I've to add the menu in the first (left) column (so I can just create also a close and little one), the articles in the central column and then some banners and other things and links in the third column, that has to be bigger than the first one.

I would like to use something like 20 / 50 / 30 for the three columns, but I'm not
able to modify the dimensions. Could you, please, help me with this little problem?

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards

Flatten the grid and then add CSS to the grid template to make the columns the width you want.

After you flatten it, click edit, then add the css at the top of the Default Template HTML textarea. Make sure you surround it with style tags:
HTML Code:
<style type="text/css">
css here
</style>

Good morning, i have a question related to a modify that I want to do in the layout of my vbullettin portal.
I want to divide in a personalized way the width of my three columns where i had put my widgets.
Going in the menu "GRID" and selecting the grid that i want to modify, i select the point of the existent code for the flat format grid and I modify the code in this way:
- Nascondi testo citato -

<div id="doc3">
<div id="hd" >
<div class="yui-u yui-header">
<ul class="list_no_decoration widget_list" id="widgetlist_column1">$column[1]</ul>
</div>
</div>
<div id="bd" >
<div class="yui-g">
<div class="yui-tvb-l25 first yui-panel" width="120px">
<ul class="list_no_decoration widget_list" id="widgetlist_column2">$column[2]</ul>
</div>
<div width="560px" class="yui-tvb-l50 first yui-panel">
<ul class="list_no_decoration widget_list" id="widgetlist_column3" >$column[3]</ul>
</div>
<div class="yui-tvb-l25 first yui-panel" width="140px">
<ul class="list_no_decoration widget_list" id="widgetlist_column4" >$column[4]</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div id="ft" >
<div class="yui-u yui-footer">
<ul class="list_no_decoration widget_list" id="widgetlist_column5">$column[5]</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>

With this code I added the personalized width in the tag DIV of each column.
The result it isn't like should be, beacuse the final layout is not modified.
Please, can you give me some instructions to reach the expected result?

When you click Configure for the Grid, there are two textareas. Did you modify the top or bottom one?

Hello!

Well, we tried to modify the two textareas, both the top one and the bottom one. We tried to modify in a first moment the top one and in a second moment the bottom one, and then both the textareas together. But we were not able to solve the problem. I tried also to clean the CMS cache, but, again, nothing happened.

So, hoping to solve this issue, we'll wait for other suggestions by you. Thanks for your help and your helpfulness until now.

Kind regards

How about a link to a section using your custom grid (that has been modified using the bottom text area).
