Changing URL of forum without getting locked out
Ok, I would like to change my site's URL from http://www.site.com/forums to http://forums.site.com. I am not physically moving the files since I plan to use the same DIR where I have it set up at the moment. However I want to know how to go about making a domain change without getting locked out of the admin panel. Thanks.

I use a subdomain and can access and use the site from forums.mysite.com and mysite.com/forums. The only thing is that I have to login into each one seperately (cookie issue.)
If you do have problems, such as people moving actual directories and domains do, just make a direct request to the admin cp, which should be forumurl/admincp and change the forum url there. |

You can make it so it stores both cookies when you visit the site. No matter subdomain or domain.
