A few questions
Hi,
I plan to purchase Vbulletin this Wednesday and had a few questions. I am umming and ahhing between classic and the suite package, the blogs might be good for my site but not hugely important, but does the CMS really make much of a difference to make it a better package all round? I plan to have sub forums in different languages. Can I install a different theme/skin into those sub forms to make them visually different from the rest of the site? Is Vbulletin 4x ready for YouTube video embedding off the shelf or do I require a plug in for that? Sorry if these have been answered before... |

Hi Kuya,
The main difference between the vBforum and the vBsuite is that the suite package will serve as a full-featured web publishing platform to build your website on. So you're not limited to creating a discussion board but also a powerful content management system. The blog mod can be disabled if you don't need it for the time being, and it may come handly at a later date. You can embed youtube videos in vBCMS articles by using the following code line (out of the box, no additional mod installing is required): Code:
[video=youtube;xxx]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxx[/video] |

No problem. That's basically about using the [video] bbcode to embed videos in articles which is supported out of the box.
