Does it happen in any other forums you try to create or you only tried this one?

Nope, just this forum. And if i rename it to something else or create another forum with the same name no issue. I can even upload to the database to a local server and the bug goes away but for some reason on this server it will always mess up.

Must be some incompatibility somewhere with the sever... there's a couple of obscure words/phrases you can't type into a post on my forum else the post doesn't get properly submitted... We've concluded it must share the name with some sever level variable or something- it definitely isn't censor related and the same words cause the same problems at other forums on the same host.

Yeah, I'd bet it's all related... can you just "hide" the forum and let it be, just make another one that works?

wow yea, good call, and the control panel in that won't even load on the server. Like when i open up the vbseo control panel its blank, and the guys over at VBSEO.com are no help. I wish i had any idea what to do. I am usually pretty resourceful but this is above my head.

Disable vbseo (completely - meaning don't forget the htaccess also) and then see if you still have the same problem.
