Now, I run my own forum and I run into a lot of problems with the links..

Some users are saying, www.forumname.com is giving them a certain style, and isn't keeping them logged in for the appropriate time.
While others say forumname.com without the www. is keeping them logged in and showing the default style. How do I get the forum to work on both?

You need to set the Cookie Domain correctly. It should be (no quotes, but note the period at the beginning) ".yoursite.com" (or use htaccess to redirect from one to the other).
