You mean the rank image which appears at the top-right of the member profiles as well as in their posts? If so, go to your AdminCP and search for the "User Ranks" header. Everything you (probably) need is right there.

User Ranks usually just goes by post count, not going to help differentiate mods and admins and such.
There are two ways of doing this, the easy way which I'll explain, and the hard/right way which I will just give a nudge in the right direction for... The easy way- display a small image next to someone's username if they are a mod (or admin, or supermod, or whatever) Go to Admin CP -> Usergroups -> Usergroups Manager -> Edit Usergroup (Moderators) Look for "Username HTML Markup" there are two boxes, one for 'opening' tags and the other for 'closing' tags... this is meant for code like or or font colors or other minor things... but you can use any HTML you want, including tags... so in the closing box add your image tag, something like A couple things to remember- those boxes don't hold that many characters so if the file name or path to the image is too long or you add too much HTML vBulletin will simply cut off the extra characters and not give you a warning or error at all- they simply won't save them all and you'll get a broken tag... but if you can fit it in you'll be fine... I had images like this for a year and it worked fine. Another thing to remember, the smaller the image the better because by default vB shows the username with the 'markup' in more places then just the piostbit... such as in the "who's online" section- they will have images next to their names their too. You could change this but that's another discussion. So that is the 'easy' way... The 'right' way is to edit the postbit (or postbit_legacy) template and use a conditional statement saying basically IF the user is a member of Usergroup 5(moderators) then Display some image... You'd need to put a condition for each usergroup you want to show an image of... it's not terribly hard but it involved conditionals and template edits so you may want to go the 'easy' way if you can live with the limitations. |

I used it to show sports team logo's in post bit. The car part is just a name for the mod. You can use it to put any image in your post bit.
