You've kindly made sure that both of these point to your website, but obviously your cookies only work if you always go to one or the other.
I'm cookied on "http://www.vbulletin.org" but that means if I visit "http://vbulletin.org", the system doesn't recognise me. Which is a nuisance. You can fix this by putting right at the beginning of all your pages a bit of PHP that basically says... PHP Code:

I have the following problem:
i've set my cookie path to: www.websiteurl.com/board now i buyed a new domain for the board: www.board.com now everyone that access the board thru www.websiteurl.com/board has no problems, ofcourse the cookie path is set to that url. Everyone that access the board thru www.board.com has 2 relogin every time they access a page etc... thats because the cookie path is set to www.websiteurl.com/board. Can i fix this problem with above code? Does i have 2 put the code on every page or just only in the header? |

Firefly: great pleasure. It would be good to document where you put this code (I've no idea!) in order that others can do the same thing.
Lesane: assuming your new domain produces a frame which it then loads the other pages into, you'll need to get some Javascript to bounce out of the frame to fix your problem. Otherwise, your users can select "don't use cookies" and it'll be okay; though they will need to log in every time they visit the board. |
