What is the rule for the hacks added to vB.org? Are just the hacks that you guys find interesting and usefull added? Are the hacks added here ones planned for possible usage in future releases of vB?
Why I ask is I was wondering if you could use my vbcode.js improvement here(see link below). I do believe it is good enough to run here and running it here might give the dev guys the idea to use it for a future release of vB. What do ya think? Scott |

Scott,
I decide what hacks go into this forum. It's not that I only choose the 'worthy' hacks, just the ones I could blend well here. And no, just because hacks are added here doesn't mean they will go into a release of vBulletin. I'll look into your hack, but from I've heard it has some problems with Netscape? But I do think the site looks pretty damned in Netscape anyway (at least for the blue style)... |

Hello Firefly,
The js works with nutscrape it just doesn't work any better. What I mean is, the new script acts like the old script for nutscrape users. The script doesn't cause any crashes or script errors. With IE 5.5 and 6.0 betas there is a minor problem with the access keys. This is a browser problem though and not a bug in the script. Anyhow, not too many people use access keys anyway, right? Give it a try. The worst that can happen is you have to change it back if you or rather the users don't like. And it is probably the easiest hack to keep track of when you upgrade vB.org. Scott |
