Login error after manual user table import

Hi,

I had to import user accounts from my other database to vbulletin.
I only added data to 'user' table, including random 3-character 'salt'.

Now I can not log in to the forum using those transferred accounts. (It says, username or password is incorrect)

Is there anything special i need to do?
