Hi everyone, I know this subject is already posted in here, but its super hard to find the thread.
Anyway i have one question, how can i change the custom usergroup's :id like change a usergroupid 20 to 16? Same thing with the user's id. Is there aways to change user's ids . I'm still using vb 3.8.4 waiting till the vb 4 gold version release ![]() |

Do NOT do this. There is no reason to do it and most likely you will screw things up and break a user profile or two or a hundred. You can't just change a userid in one table - there are many tables it effects. Same with the usergroup id.

hi lynne, thx for your reply. i just created a new usergroup, and no one is added on it yet. the user id on it is 20, and i wanna change it to 16 because theres no usergroup above 15.
I have only 15 usergroups the user groups number 16, 17, 18, 19 are deleted long time ago. |

Who is going to ever notice the usergroup id? No one. So, I'd just leave it alone.
You can go play with changing it on your test site if you absolutely want to do this. Off the top of my head I know you would have to change the usergroup table and I think the cms permission table. Perhaps a blog permission table too? I really don't know. |
